2019 Google BOLD Immersion  

What is Google BOLD Immersion? At Google BOLD Immersion you will have the opportunity to get a glimpse into the business side of the technology industry, a chance to grow your peer network, and exposure and insight into Google’s non-technical internship and career opportunities.

Who is eligible to apply? Eligible students must:

  • Be in the second year of a four year BA/BS program, in any major

  • Demonstrate academic excellence

  • Be able to provide proof of United States work authorization

What is the length of the program?  Google BOLD Immersion will take place the week of Aug 5th, 2019 at our Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Is US citizenship required for BOLD Immersion? To be considered for the BOLD Immersion Program, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, applicants without acceptable proof of identity and work authorization are not eligible to participate. You can find out about other opportunities for international students on our student website.

When will I find out if I’ve been selected?  We will review all applications after the application closes on February 1st. We’ll be reaching out to all students to notify them of our decision in April of 2019.

What is the short answer prompt? BOLD Immersion is an opportunity to grow your skills and gain exposure to Google's unique culture and the business side of a technology company. In 500 words or less, please tell us about your long and short terms goals and how the BOLD Immersion program may fit into that.

How do I submit my transcript and resume? 1. Merge your resume and transcript into a single PDF. 2. Upload file to your Google Drive account (available with Gmail accounts). 2. Title the doc with your lastname_firstname_materials” e.g. “Potter_Harry_Materials" 3. Share the document indicating that anyone with the link can view. 4. Copy the URL and include the link in the application form.

Do I need to submit an official transcript? No, an unofficial transcript is all you need. Please make sure that we can easily read the transcript copy you submit. A PDF format is preferred.

I’ve already submitted my application but I’d like to update my resume and/or transcript. Am I able to do so? You can update your resume and/or transcript by updating the original Drive link you shared or emailing boldimmersion@google.com. The deadline to update is February 1st at 11:59pm PT. Once the application closes, we’ll be unable to update your documents.

Is the program all-expense paid? Yes, Google will cover cost of travel, lodging, and meals during the BOLD Immersion program.

The Building Opportunities for Leadership & Development (BOLD) Immersion Program is an all-expenses-paid program the week of August 5th, 2019 at Google’s Mountain View headquarters. The program is designed to provide exposure to the technology industry for students who have been historically underrepresented in this field. Selected participants will learn more about non-technical career opportunities at Google and grow their professional and peer networks. The robust program will include tech talks, skills-building seminars and, of course, fun!

The Grand Ledge Police Department will be hiring multiple part-time officers.

Description:

The City of Walker is looking to fill the position of Planner I / Department Specialist to assist the
Community Development Department by performing a wide range of highly skilled administrative
responsibilities specific to Building Services and Planning. This customer service based position
performs essential case management and record preservation services to the department by
processing applications, agendas, minutes, departmental reporting, and conducting case
research for Building Services, Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Mineral Mining
Board and other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum Associates Degree in business, administration or science or a
combination of education and experience relevant to functions of this position. A Bachelor’s
Degree in planning, public administration or a similar field is preferred. The selected applicant
must have a professional approach to establishing working relationships with contractors,
residents, and co-workers at all levels. Qualities for the ideal candidate should include advanced
technical and report writing skills, detail oriented, and excellent oral and written communication
skills.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary range of $40,067 – 46,077, depending on
qualifications, and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, defined
contribution 401(a) retirement plan, retirement health savings account, life insurance, short and
long term disability, and fitness membership.
