Welcome to the School of Public, Nonprofit, Health, Hospitality and Tourism Management (SPNHTM), where students are prepared for lives of active citizenship as contributing members of their local, regional, national, and global communities and go on to professional careers in government, nonprofit, health care organizations, and hospitality and tourism management. With an innovative curriculum and dedicated faculty members, SPNHTM helps students develop the capacity for ethical judgement, critical thinking, and the skills and leadership necessary to fulfill multiple roles as effective managers and public servants.
SPNHTM Inspires. SPNHTM Delivers.
Why SPNHTM at Grand Valley?
Students in the School of Public, Nonprofit, Health, Hospitality, and Tourism Management (SPNHTM) learn from faculty members who are engaged in the community and philanthropy and actually work in the world they teach. Professors are invested in the lives of their students and encourage a culture of collegiality and collaboration.
“I feel that there's that connection I have with the faculty here because they have real life experiences. I see them out in the field getting that experience and then bringing it to the classroom.”
—- Suzanne Blake, Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership graduate
