16th Annual Art and Science of Aging Conference & Art Exhibit
Thursday March 18, 2021 from 9am - 1pm
ONLINE Conference Sessions will provide engaging, activity based
learning around 1 of 3 conference themes:
- Connect : Sessions in this focus area will offer attendees opportunities to learn, explore, and or practice ways to connect, re-connect, or dis-connect with themselves, others, their communities, or in meaningful ways to enhance relationship. Dating, family memoir, pen pals, digital media, inter-generational activities, are examples of things that fit in this area.
- Create: Sessions in this area will teach and or explore a skill that promotes creativity around healthy aging and living. Examples may include writing, contemplative practices, gardening, painting, or learning a new skill.
- Resilience: Sessions in this focus area will introduce, explore, apply, and/or encourage practices, activities, ideas, and/or work that promotes, builds, and nourishes resiliency in late life. Examples include storytelling and memoir, digital/online identity, coping with loneliness, personal reflection, Tai Chi and other movement practices.
