Field of Study
Len O'Kelly came to the School of Communications after spending 25 years on the air in radio, primarily in the Chicago metropolitan area. He has served as a news director and has programmed a number of radio stations in locations as close as Grand Rapids, MI and as far away as Gisborne, New Zealand. Len has also served as an on-camera meteorologist for WYIN-TV in northwest Indiana. He continues to perform voiceover work for television, radio, film, online, and on-hold applications.
O'Kelly also serves as the faculty advisor for Grand Valley's student-run radio station WCKS "The Whale" and for Grand Valley's student-run television station GVTV. He is also the internship coordinator for the Multimedia Journalism major.
