2019 Rebekah Folkert, MPH, REHS

Rebekah Folkert, senior environmental health specialist for Ottawa County Department of Public Health, shared her master's of public health project with the College of Health Professions. 2016 Patrick Farris

Patrick Farris '16 graduated from Grand Valley with a master's in medical dosimetry and now works as a medical dosimetrist at the Mayo Clinic. He first pursued a bachelor’s degree in allied health Sciences and radiation therapy. During his time at Grand Valley, he took courses in radiation physics, statistics, epidemiology, and many more that he says helped him “excel in the job force.” By the end of his medical dosimetry program, he was developing complex treatment plans to help people with cancer. Now he is a part of an intricate team at the Mayo Clinic that creates a vast array of treatment plans and contributes to advancing the health care profession as a whole.
