A Message from the Dean

When I began as Dean in July 2024, my goal was to listen, learn, and build a bold vision for our future. Today, I’m proud to share our new Strategic Plan for 2030—our roadmap to growth, innovation, and national recognition.

Together, we’re aiming to:

• Grow enrollment to 3,000 students
• Increase research funding to $6 million
• Rank among the Top 150 computing programs in the U.S.

These goals will help us meet the region’s demand for tech talent, support economic growth, and strengthen Grand Rapids as a tech hub.

Our plan centers on three priorities:

• Empowering Student Success
• Advancing Research and Innovation
• Supporting Faculty and Staff

We’re just getting started — and I’m excited about what’s ahead.
