National Voter Registration Day

Save the date: September 20, 2022

Follow GVSU CSLC on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for updates on National Voter Registration Day 2022!

National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) is a national holiday that was first observed in 2012. NVRD is held annually on the Fourth Tuesday of September. The holiday has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) and is further supported by the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED), along with the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition (SLSV).

At GVSU, we celebrate student voter engagement with a week of events which educate, engage and mobilize student voters: National Voter Registration Week (NVRW)!  In 2018, GVSU led the state by registering the most students in a day on National Voter Registration Day, in partnership with the Michigan Mobile Secretary of State Unit and the MDOS College Tour!

Our fantastic partners for NVRW include: the Campus Democratic Engagement Coalition, Michigan Secretary of State, Ottawa County Clerk, Allendale Township Clerk, GVSU Student Senate, Black Greek Council, College Democrats, College Republicans and more!
