Co-working space opens on West Side
December 15, 2017
A new co-working space for entrepreneurs in the construction, real estate and design industries is open on the West Side.
Blueprint Collaborative is located at 859 Fulton W in Grand Rapids and owned by Brent Gibson, the founder of Construction Simplified.
The 2,400-square-foot space features an open-concept office space with natural window light, two sliding garage doors and exposed timber bow truss ceilings.
The layout features a conference room, workstations, a large community worktable, two "team" rooms and a kitchen.
Amenities include VIA Connect Pro in the conference room and collaborative software throughout the facility. The space also has high-speed Wi-Fi, built-in charging stations, a print station, off-street parking, lockers and storage for beer, coffee and snacks.
“One of our favorite amenities is proximity to downtown,” said James Fry with Blueprint Collaborative. “Being on West Fulton, we love being on the West Side, while just a quick shot from the heart of downtown.”
The worksite will also host lunch-and-learn sessions. Some events coming soon include Social Media 101, hosted by Blueprint Collaborative member Germination Labs, and Critical Path, hosted by Blueprint’s Gibson.
“Collaboration is the key to our space,” Fry said. “Entrepreneurship thrives on connectivity. Narrowing our focus to be industry-specific helps to promote the collaborative nature, as these industries often overlap.”
Regular drop-in membership is $150 per month and allows members to drop in and use the space Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dedicated workstations with 24-hour access are $495 per month.
Twenty-four-hour access to the team rooms is $1,250 per month. The team rooms are ideal for up to five members.
