Description
Interested in harnessing the power of the sun or learning how the wind can power your house? Would you like to learn if a lemon can serve as a battery or how water creates power? Energizing Our World Saturday is an exciting one-day event for middle school students to learn about sustainable power. Students will participate in hands on activities that will deepen their understanding of renewable energy sources.
The event will be held at the GVSU Allendale Campus in the Seymour and Esther Padnos Hall of Science. The camp will be held 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., October 14, 2017. Participants must be in grades 6th - 8th.
Registration deadline is September 22nd, 2017. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The registration fee for Energizing Our World Saturday is $10, which includes lunch and a t-shirt. Scholarships are available for students with financial need.
