Description
The routes on a climbing wall have arguably the largest impact on visitor satisfaction and safety. It is vital to every climbing facility to offer a revolving variety of routes that match the strengths and abilities of the participants. In order to help achieve this diversity, the Climbing Center relies on a diverse pool of competent route setters. Route setting is an art and it takes lots of practice to do it well. That's why we've set aside some time every other Friday for setters (& aspiring setters) to practice setting as a community where everyone can learn from each other as well as some of our most experienced setting staff. Tools and wall space are limited so please RSVP.
Pre-Requisite: It is vital that route setters have a strong understanding of climbing movement and technique. In order to begin setting we require that you be able to consistently/ comfortably climb at the 5.9/ V2 level in our facility.
