Student Organization Partners
Laker Dance Team
The Laker Dance Team performs at all home Football and Basketball games. Throughout the season we do various fundraisers in order to go to the Dance Team Union College Classic in Las Vegas in April.
Phi Alpha-Chi Epsilon
Phi Alpha Chi Epsilon Chapter is GVSU's School of Social Work Honor Society. We aim to celebrate academic achievement and promote connections among students. We are fundraising to provide quality Phi Alpha Events for our members!
Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
As strong collegiate women, GVSU's Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. strives to make an impact on ourselves and the community. We believe that we are more than just members, but truly sisters that have come together for an everlasting sisterhood. We aspire to live our daily lives through our seven virtues: loyalty, honesty, respect, dedication, integrity, discipline, and academic excellence. By doing this, we seek to eradicate Asian stereotypes and set an example for others in our community. Fundraising plans are to donate all profits to Alternatives For Girls (AFG). AFG is a southwest Detroit-based nonprofit organization. They serve homeless and at-risk girls and young women through shelter, prevention, and outreach.
Student Environmental Coalition
The Student Environmental Coalition is centralized on educating students and encouraging them to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. We strive to make a difference in the Grand Valley and Greater Grand Rapids communities by fostering an appreciation and respect for the environment. We participate in local volunteering events, conduct campus cleanups, and host eco-friendly workshops. Any funds received will be utilized to assist in more volunteering events, educational workshops, and our participation with a close nonprofit, Turning Green.
GVSU Women in Business
Grand Valley State Women in Business (WIB) is an undergraduate student organization (for all majors and genders) founded to empower and enable women to reach their fullest potential through the expansion of professional and personal opportunities, with a focus on business, leadership, and female celebration and innovation. Our fundraising plans include raising money through community engagement and social events.
Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a non-profit organization that raises money for over 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the nation. At GVSU, we raise money for our local hospital, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. At the end of the year, we host a celebration of our fundraising at a 12 hour event involving miracle families, dancers, and committee members.
CHAARG (Changing Health Attitudes and Actions to Recreate Girls) aims to ignite a passion in college-aged girls for health + fitness. We are an all women's health and fitness organization on campus. We are raising funds to support our chapters' needs and plan to use our funds to host socials for our members.
ChemoCare works to educate kids in the Grand Rapids community about cancer and provides a way for them to give back. We are fundraising for supplies to create IV bag covers that are delivered to hospitals.
NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language Hearing Association) is the organization on campus for students interested in SLP and Audiology. The organization is a great resource for learning more about our profession, hearing from guest speakers about their experiences with SLP/Aud, attending conferences, participating in group volunteer opportunities, etc. We are interested in raising funds for our club's general fund, used to afford group volunteer partnerships with other on-campus organizations such as Fleece and Thank You as well as food for our meetings. We are also raising funds to attend the annual ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) conference in November.
Stars for Make-A-Wish
We are a student organization with the main goal of fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. We do this by hosting fundraisers throughout the community. We also participate in other community events.

DELAYS & CANCELLATIONS
If weather conditions present a danger to participants, Race officials maintain the right to cancel or delay the event. Examples that could alter the event: tornado warning, tornado watch, or thunderstorm. Less threatening conditions may cause alterations of the event or the post event awards to ensure participant, volunteer, and community safety.
Such conditions will not result in refunding of any race fees or future credit since funds were already spent in preparation for the race day.
If the event is cancelled, runners will receive an email on how they can pick up their race packet.
