Psychology alum spotlight: Dr. Jessica Naftaly

Dr. Jessica Naftaly graduated with her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in the Summer of 2021. Dr. Naftaly’s clinical and research interests are in health psychology, psychogastroenterology, trauma, and women’s health. She is currently the Gastrointestinal Behavioral Health Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan where she provides cognitive behavioral therapy and gut-directed hypnotherapy to adults with gastrointestinal concerns. Dr. Naftaly is a proud GVSU alum. She is grateful for the mentorship of her professors in the GVSU Psychology Department and for introducing her to the field of clinical health psychology. Dr. Naftaly encourages those interested in majoring in psychology to take advantage of the numerous learning, research, and networking opportunities that GVSU provides to students. Go Lakers!
