Experiential Learning
Grand Valley is committed to providing high-impact learning experiences, and experiential learning is one of the hallmarks that embody this approach. As defined here, experiential learning consists of educational experiences that involve individual student-to-employer/community partner activities (e.g. internships, co-ops, clinicals, student teaching, etc.) that are credit-bearing. These can include virtual activities in the form of internships or projects.
This page is intended to provide guidance and information to those involved in such activities: students, faculty/staff within academic programs, and employers/community partners. Specific information designed for each partner in these experiences can be found by clicking the appropriate button below. Contact information for each program and individual circumstances are provided within the links. If there are general questions about the contents of this site, or internal questions from academic programs about this topic, please contact the Office of the Provost at [email protected] or (616) 331-2400.
