Kirsten Zeiter
Kirsten Zeiter graduated from GVSU in 2011 with majors in Political Science and in Women and Gender Studies. She was an active campus leader during her Grand Valley days, serving as president of Iota Iota Iota, the Women and Gender Studies Honor Society, as the special projects chair for the Vagina Monologues, and as a member of the Student Senate Diversity Affairs Committee. Zeiter also took advantage of high impact learning experiences, interning with city of Grand Rapids as the John H. Logie Fellow and with Potomac Strategic Development in Washington, DC, as the Paul B. Henry fellow.
After graduation, Zeiter served for two years with the Peace Corps in Morocco, working on issues related to youth development, especially opportunities for girls. She has since worked as a program development, monitoring, and evaluation specialist for several organizations, including the National Democratic Institute and EnCompass LLC.
Zeiter earned a Master’s Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She is currently a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).
