Sumner Wins Political Science Excellence-in-a-discipline Award

The Political Science Department congratulates Starr Sumner, this year’s winner of the Excellence-in-a-Discipline Award for Political Science.
Starr is finishing a double major in Political Science and Writing. This year Starr completed a writing internship for the Borgen Project, a national campaign advocating that global poverty be a focus of U.S. foreign policy. As a part of her internship, she assisted with advocacy efforts and ran a personal fundraising campaign. Starr hopes to continue her education by attending law school after graduation.
