Megan Wright

Megan Wright

Megan Wright graduated from GVSU in 2016 with a major in Public and Private Nonprofit Administration major and a minor International Relations. During her time at GVSU, she volunteered with the West Michigan Refugee Education Center, providing afterschool and summer tutoring for refugee children. In 2014, she studied abroad in Cape Coast, Ghana, where she also volunteered at the local Planned Parenthood.

After graduation, Megan worked for AmeriCorps VISTA Refugee Services of Texas in Austin. She was involved in fundraising, capacity building, and outreach presentations to promote awareness and involvement in refugee resettlement. Over the next four years,  Megan held a variety of other positions at the agency, including Case Manager, Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator, and Grant Writer. Megan currently works at Episcopal Migration Ministries at the national level where she is a Program Officer in the Pre Arrival & Processing Unit. Megan recently began her Master’s degree program in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies at the University of London.
