Mariah Walton, Master of Public Administration graduate, promoted to city manager in Eastpointe, MI
“(I’ve) loved my tenure with the city of Eastpointe and loved working alongside a phenomenal team in my last five and a half months, and working with all of you in coming in to build connections and put things together,” Walton said, addressing the council at the end of her interview. “I’ve really enjoyed that process and seeing a lot of things come to fruition that we’ve had conversations about. It’s great to see the community starting to be more active coming out of the pandemic, even though COVID is still there. But now seeing people’s faces and getting to engage with people has been an incredible light.”
