Overview of Professional Programs
*This is a non-exhaustive list of graduate degrees available. You are encouraged to further research programs of interest to you.
Students who hope to matriculate to such schools must spend a significant amount of time planning their undergraduate experience. The CLAS Academic Advising Center can assist you in pre-professional programs overview, graduate study prep, events and workshops, and a variety of other services to aid your transition into a professional school.
Although the information found within this site will give you a better understanding of what is required to be accepted into these pre-professional programs, it is not a replacement for meeting with your advisor.
Also, check out GVSU's Pre-Professional Blog for news and information for students preparing for professional school!
Grand Valley offers 14 pre-professional clubs that students have the opportunity to participate in. Joining one of these clubs is a great way to get to know other students in your field and meet faculty and community members that have experience in your desired career path. These clubs can also provide support when you are entering into professional school. Pre-professional clubs at GVSU include:
Pre-Radiologic and Imaging Sciences, Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Dental, Pre-MD/PhD, Pre-Med, Pre-Nursing, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Podiatry, Pre-Students of Osteopathic Medical Association, and Pre-Veterinary.
