In a desire to be more inclusive, the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) Program, in conjunction with the PAS students has developed the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Advisory Committee. This committee includes students and faculty that are committed to placing the pillars of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the forefront our program.

In order to uphold these pillars, the GVSU PA JEDI committee is resolved to encourage and support the following actions: hiring diverse faculty and staff; accepting a diverse cohort of students; implementing curriculum that includes education on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion; promoting a culture of inclusivity within the program; and continuously assessing actions towards this effort.

The faculty and students at GVSU are actively engaged in providing education about health inequities and disparities using an inclusive and holistic approach. The GVSU PA program supports the tenets of cultural competence, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice for all seeking health care.
