Research Interests:

My background is in creative writing, which is a nice fit for my work as a liaison with the writing department, the English department.  I also have the pleasure of working with Environmental Studies and Digital Studies as a library liaison, which works really well with my personal interest in environmentalism and spending time outside.

My scholarly work as a librarian has ranged from collaborating with teaching faculty to teach information literacy, the threshold concepts of information literacy, designing research projects to support student library research, use of the reference desk (when we had one), and managing library collections with new technologies.

I've mentored students on projects focusing on visual arts, poetry, digital humanities, information literacy teaching tools, metadata, and young adult librarianship.  One of the things I love about being a librarian is helping people find information they are excited about and learning along the way.
