About Noelle:

Noelle Charbonneau is a junior at Grand Valley State University, majoring in history and psychology. As a Library Research Scholar, Noelle created a library guide for beginning research in disability studies, which she identified as an underrepresented field in academia. Upon the completion of her undergraduate degree, Noelle is planning to attend graduate school to obtain her Master’s degree in library and information science with a concentration in academic librarianship.

About Grace:

Grace McMahon is a senior studying Biomedical Sciences at Grand Valley State University. Grace served as a Library Summer Scholar in 2021 where she researched patient care and interactions in medicine. After completing her undergraduate degree, Grace hopes to spend a couple years learning about research in a clinical setting before pursuing a career path as a physician. In her free time Grace enjoys listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and being outside.

About Daisy:

Daisy Soos is currently a sophomore at Grand Valley, double majoring in nursing and history. This summer, she produced a Youtube Video series through the GVSU Libraries Instruction channel, discussing her research on the concept of "truth" in history and how to study history more objectively through the Undergraduate Office of Research and Scholarship's Library Scholar program. This project was featured in a GVNext article. She is also currently an editor for the Grand Valley Journal of History and works as a Medical Assistant at an Oncology and Hematology clinic. In the future, Daisy plans to work as an RN while researching and analyzing contemporary issues in both of her disciplines by being involved in political organizations, health administration, and writing publications.
