Show Description: Set in a 1930s European perfumery, we meet shop clerks, Amalia and Georg, who, more often than not, don't see eye to eye. After both respond to a "lonely hearts advertisement" in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Join Amalia and Georg to discover the identity of their true loves... and all the twists and turns along the way! With a witty, romantic score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof), this Golden Age gem sparkles with heart, humor, and old-world charm.

Intimacy Notice: The roles of Georg and Amalia may share a romantic kiss, and the roles of Ilona and Steven may contain flirtatious choreography.

Content Warning: This production of She Loves Me includes references to suicide, the sound of gunfire, and moments of emotional distress.

Character Descriptions:

Georg Nowack - Male Identifying, 25-30, Vocal Range: B2-F4
An established employee of Maraczek's Parfumerie, he resembles a hopeless romantic. Shy, intelligent, and soft spoken.

Amalia Balash - Female Identifying, 20-25, Vocal Range: C4-B5
The eager new employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimidated and nervous. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature.

Arpad Laszlo - Male Identifying, 14-17, Vocal Range: Bb2-E4
Delivery boy at Maraczek's Parfumerie. His exuberance is infectious, and his commitment to his job is remarkable. He is ambitious and adorable.

Ladislav Sipos - Male Identifying, 45-55, Vocal Range: A2-E4
Not the brightest employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. A confidant of Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.

Ilona Ritter - Female Identifying, 25-30, Vocal Range: F#3-E5
Employed at Maraczek's Parfumerie. She is sensual, comedic, and learned in the ways of romance, but is longing for something more from the game of love.

Steven Kodaly - Male Identifying, 25-30, Vocal Range: B2-A4
A well-respected and liked employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. Though he is considered dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer.

Mr. Maraczek - Male Identifying, 55-65, Vocal Range: B2-C4
Owner of Maraczek's Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife.

Ensemble: Consists of 8 singers and dancers to play minor characters (Mr. Keller, Busboy, Waiter), customers, carolers, and dinner guests.

Understudies: Understudies will be cast for the roles of Georg, Amalia, Ilona, Ladislav/Mr.Maraczek’s, and Steven/Arpad, as well as a Male and Female swing to cover the ensemble.
