DESCRIPTION:Daniel Cueto\, flutist/composer\, presents a masterclass featuring students from the GVSU Flute Studio performing his compositions.\n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Lima-Peru to Peruvian and American parents\, Daniel Cueto&#39\;s compositions reflect his deep roots in both Western Classical and Latin American musical traditions. His works have been described as &quot\;cleverly melding rich traditional Peruvian melodic and rhythmic elements with a contemporary flair\, creating a personal style that is both pleasing and accessible to the listener and performer&quot\;. To date\, his music has been performed in over twenty countries\, including Germany\, France\, Spain\, Malta\, Argentina\, Brazil\, Mexico and the USA. A committed and passionate educator\, he has held teaching posts at two German universities (Hochschule f&uuml\;r Musik und Tanz K&ouml\;ln\, Hochschule f&uuml\;r Musik Detmold) and has been guest lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Cat&oacute\;lica del Per&uacute\;. Currently\, he serves as Adjunct Instructor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington\, IN.
