Before joining the GVSU faculty as as Assistant Professor of Dance, Hannah was based in New York City and served as a Lecturer in dance at Purchase College, SUNY, while working with the New York State Dance Education Association and performing with a variety of professional companies including Tiffany Mills, Mariah Maloney, the Erica Essner Performance Co-op, David Appel, and Gibney Dance with whom she also spent six years offering workshops to domestic violence survivors and their children. Hannah has taught at New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts and Interlochen Center for the Arts for multiple summers, and at SUNY Brockport as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She has served as Education Programs Coordinator for Dance New Amsterdam in NYC, has 10 years professional experience in technical theater, and is certified in Pilates and Autism Movement Therapy. Hannah’s choreography has been seen throughout New York City and State, commissioned for performance with live music by the Society for New Music, and most recently presented in the Midwest RAD Fest (Kalamazoo), Regeneration (Detroit), and Dance Days (Buffalo, NY) festivals.
