Lara Faucher began her dance training with the School of the Grand Rapids Ballet under the direction of Charthel Arthur and Robert Estner. She received additional training from renowned teachers such as Sally Seven, Cherie Noble, George DeLaPena, Rebecca Wright, Paul Sutherland, Beatrice Rodriguez, Edward Villella and Trinette Singleton. Her continued studies took her to the Joffrey and Ballet Magnificat. Lara danced professionally with Ballet Magnificat! touring throughout the United States and Canada. After dancing professionally Lara graduated Magma Cum Laude from Hope College with a B.A. in Performance/Choreography. She is the recipient of the Florence Cavanaugh Award in 1998 and the H. J. Kuiper Award in 2002. As Founder and Artistic Director of Turning Pointe School of Dance in Holland, MI. from 1999 to the Spring of 2014, Lara developed a ballet curriculum and has choreographed nine full-length ballets all while having the privilege to mentor and train many students into professional careers in dance. Lara Faucher is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Lara teaches at Grand Rapids Ballet and is the Resident Dance Artist at the Holland Area Arts Council where she offers privates, summer programming, and consulting. Lara also travels as a guest teacher and choreographer for a variety of studios and companies throughout the State of Michigan.
