Karley Dorner is a Michigan based dance teacher and choreographer. She discovered her passion for dance at the age of 3, training at The Turning Pointe School of the Performing Arts in Saint Clair Shores, MI. She continued her dance education at Grand Valley State University where she was on scholarship for 4 years, and in 2013 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. During her time at Grand Valley she worked with many notable choreographers such as Lauren Edson, Charles Askegard, Lizzie Mackenzie Pontarelli, and Julie Blume- to name a few. Karley has performed with Thodos Dance Chicago, at the Gala for the American College Dance Festival, and at Dance Chicago. Most recently she choreographed and performed for the BelieveDance Benefit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids. She is currently teaching recreational and competitive classes at The Dance Network in Grand Rapids and is looking forward to teaching here at Grand Valley!
