After graduating, Ashley moved to Columbus, Ohio and obtained a job as a high school French teacher in the Columbus Public School District. She taught high school French for five years and led student tours to France and Spain among other countries. While working, in 2015, she earned a Master's Degree in Foreign and Second Language Education with an endorsement in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from The Ohio State University. She then changed jobs within the Columbus Public School District and is now the ESL teacher at a French Immersion school, where the majority of her colleagues and students are native French speakers. Ashley credits a strong undergraduate experience and the skills she learned from studying abroad as a huge factor in her success today.
