Carol Wilson-Tiesma is a Senior Affiliate Professor of French at GVSU, where she has had the pleasure of teaching for the past 16 years.  For seven of those years, she served as the secretary of the non-profit Chiaroscuro International Film Series, which brings international cinema to Grand Rapids every winter.  Her studies were originally in linguistics and translation, and her love of France has led her to explore cinema and other aspects of the French culture.  Carol is also involved in the GVSU faculty-led summer study abroad program, which she hopes to direct again as soon as circumstances will allow.

Tournées Film Festival is made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC), the French American Cultural Fund, Florence Gould Foundation, and Highbrow Entertainment.
