The MLK Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity, part of a national day of service, is coordinated by the Community Service Learning Center and in collaboration with Grand Valley's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Executive Planning Committee.
Volunteers will meet in the Cook-DeWitt Center on the Allendale Campus at 8:30 a.m. for a keynote presentation by the Rev. Reggie Smith, followed by transportation to service projects with local community partners. Transportation and lunch will be provided. The day will end at 3:30 p.m.

Grand Valley's event is part of a national day of service where campuses across America gather together to serve and stand in solidarity with their communities in honor of King. The goal of the event is to educate participants and inspire them to engage in their communities by listening, learning, and advocating for social change on campus and beyond.
