The Office of the Vice Provost for Health commissions the annual "Health Check" study, a report on health-related trends, costs, and employment projections in the West Michigan area. The report, Health Check: Analyzing Trends in West Michigan, is released each January at the West Michigan Healthcare Economic Forecast event held at Grand Valley's Eberhard Center in Grand Rapids, MI. The study is conducted by economics faculty from the Seidman College of Business.
Each year the event is complemented by a panel of experts which might include health administrators/practitioners, government officials, or industry representatives. Audiences have the opportunity to participate in a Q & A session following the panel presentations.
