Keynote speakers will include James Clift, Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) and The Honorable Virgil Bernero who was the 51st Mayor of Lansing, Michigan. They will join in a panel discussion with Alan Steinman, Director of the Robert B. Annis Water Resource Institute; Anthony Lasher, Regional Disaster Officer of the Michigan region of the American Red Cross; and Wendy Ogilvie, Director of Environmental Programs at the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council. The discussion will be moderated by Jennifer Moss of WGVU.

This annual distinguished lecture series is in honor of Margaret Sellers Walker. Throughout her career Ms. Walker set the example and high standards for other public servants and her students to follow. This lecture series was established to preserve and continue her legacy of excellence in public service.
