Veterans History Project

Veterans History Project

Collection contains oral  history interviews and supplementary materials produced and collected by the GVSU History Department as part of Grand Valley's participation in the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress. The Veterans History Project was established by the Library of Congress in 2001 to collect memories, accounts and documents of U.S. war veterans from WWII and the Korean, Vietnam, and conflicts in the Middle East and elsewhere and to preserve these stories for future generations. This collection contains primarily interviews with veterans of West Michigan, and is a work-in-progress. It may contain videos, audio recordings, transcripts, related documents, and photographs.
