DESCRIPTION:Open to all ages\, join us for Zines 101 to learn the history and basics of Zines.\n\n\n\nA zine (pronounced ZEEN) is a self-published\, non-commercial print work that allows you to communicate and think in new ways. There are a range of production and binding methods to create pamphlet-like publications that can include text\, artwork\, found objects\, or any other creative material that helps communicate your message.\n\n\n\nHere are just a few ideas of what you can create a zine about\:\n\n\n\n\n\n	A time in your life\n\n	Family history\n\n	Something you&#39\;re passionate about\n\n	Your art\n\n	So much more!!!\n\n\n\n\n\nBring your idea to zine and we will provide the supplies and support to get you started in creating.\n\n\n\nRegistration is appreciated for the workshop organizers&#39\; preparation but is not required. \n\n\n\nIf you or any individuals with disabilities in your group need accessibility accommodations\, contact Stacey Burns\, University Libraries Programs and Outreach Manager\, at burnssta@gvsu.edu to communicate your needs.\n\n\n\n
LOCATION:DEV 127A - Computer Lab\n\n\n\nThis event will take place in the Richard M. DeVos Center (DEV) at 401 Fulton St W\, Grand Rapids\, MI 49504\n\n\n\nThe Computer Lab (DEV 127 A) is located next to the Steelcase Library in Building A of the DeVos Center. Building A is located near the Beckering Family Carillon Tower.\n\n\n\nParking Information\: How to Obtain Your Free Visitor Permit for the Zine Event\n\n\n\nGVSU is a permit-only campus. Visitors may obtain a parking permit from University Library staff\, the Parking Service office\, or utilize the pay-to-park locations. \n\n\n\n** Active Students\, Faculty\, and Staff are not eligible for visitor permits. Please visit the student and faculty/staff permit pages for more information.** \n\n\n\nGVSU Parking Regulations Apply.  Please see GVSU Parking for details on visitor requirements.\n\n\n\n\n\n	Guests and visitors may utilize the pay-to-park areas marked in green on the campus maps. When parking in pay-to-park\, we highly recommend using ParkMobile.\n\n	If you would prefer a permit at no cost\, visit the Service Desk at the Steelcase Library in the Richard M. DeVos Center of the Pew Grand Rapids Campus to get a parking permit from Library staff when you arrive on campus to receive a pass.\n\n	The visitor permit is valid in the Seward Lot and Seward Lot Parking Ramp ONLY. The permit must be printed and displayed on the dashboard of each vehicle.
