Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is open and ready to support students with any type of financial need in the face of changing circumstances caused by COVID-19. Grand Valley is committed to helping students continue their educational journey, and financial aid officers are available to help.

Financial Assistance

  • If you are experiencing financial struggles, there are processes in place to help you through financial situations that might be changing. Grand Valley has been granted $9 million from the federal CARES Act for students experiencing a financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. To apply for a grant, fill out the application form or contact the Financial Aid office at (616) 331-3234.

Scholarship Information

  • Scholarship guidelines have gained flexibility. GPA will not be a factor for merit scholarship renewals, which will continue to be awarded as long as a student continues to move toward earning a degree. Students with scholarships should have received an email with information about their personal situation.

Emergency Funds

  • Emergency funds are being used to help students needing financial aid through the Student Support Fund.
