The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is open and ready to support students with any type of financial need in the face of changing circumstances caused by COVID-19. Grand Valley is committed to helping students continue their educational journey, and financial aid officers are available to help.
- If you are experiencing financial struggles, there are processes in place to help you through financial situations that might be changing. Grand Valley has been granted $9 million from the federal CARES Act for students experiencing a financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. To apply for a grant, fill out the application form or contact the Financial Aid office at (616) 331-3234.
- Scholarship guidelines have gained flexibility. GPA will not be a factor for merit scholarship renewals, which will continue to be awarded as long as a student continues to move toward earning a degree. Students with scholarships should have received an email with information about their personal situation.
- Emergency funds are being used to help students needing financial aid through the Student Support Fund.
