GVSU K-12 Connect Summer Closure
GVSU K-12 Connect is now closed to the general public throughout the summer. Please watch for updated information regarding the fall (coming soon).

Volunteer mentors are required to commit to at least 2 virtual mentor meetings per month throughout the semester to support 11th and 12th grade students with preparing for college.
The application will ask for the following information so please be prepared: (1) Interests and/or hobbies, (2) Why You Want to Mentor High School Students, (3) Attach a photo
Every individual working with a K-12 student is required to have a background check on file. Once you apply, watch your inbox for an email from GVSU HR with a link to complete the background check online.

Volunteer mentors are required to complete the Virtual Orientation and Virtual New Mentor Training. Training information will be sent out once your application is approved.
Additional optional training sessions will be available throughout the semester.
All training and orientation hours will count toward volunteer hours.

You are welcome to speak with a K-12 Connect Specialist by connecting to the K-12 Connect Zoom site and asking to join the support room. A support person is available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
