Description

Saving energy, restoring and nurturing grounds, teaching/learning, praying, advocating with government officials can be challenging, especially if you try to go it alone.  It can also be inspiring, exciting, and fun when you do it with faithful friends from your congregation.   We will share practices that have worked to create and maintain engaged “Creation Care Teams”.  We hope you will join us whether you are just getting started or have experiences t share.

Facilitator: Steve Mulder

Steve Mulder is a retired Insurance executive.  Building on a lifelong passion for the Creation, he is now the Michigan Regional Organizer for the Climate Witness Project.  In this role, he helps congregations connect and engage in creation care in four areas: Energy Stewardship, Education, Worship, and Advocacy.  His love and concern for his children and grandchildren, and our world’s most vulnerable, drives his determination to mitigate the worst impacts of the climate crisis.
