Description

With the numbers of those receiving vaccines decreasing these past few weeks, the Catholic Information Center is providing this class to help people understand the science and ethics of the vaccines.This presentation will provide an overview of the different Covid-19 vaccines and their mechanisms, as well as address the ethics of vaccine use. The discussion will focus on how exactly vaccinations support the common good and will also address the concerns many people have about their origins and research.

Presented by Dr. Paul Scherz, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Moral Theology and Ethics at the Catholic University of America. Dr. Paul Scherz has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University, and an M.T.S. and a Ph.D. in Moral Theology from the University of Notre Dame.
