Gurdwara

Date and Time

Saturday, January 20, 2018 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Description

Come visit the Gurdwara and enjoy a fantastic dinner (Langar - a vegetarian dinner prepared by the congregation) and the opportunity to learn about your Sikh neighbors!

~Path of God and Story of Mind~

This event, which is being led by the Sikh Sangat of North America, in partnership with the Kaufman Interfaith Institute and WGVU, will provide space for leaders within our community to familiarize themselves with the religious diversity of West Michigan in a comfortable and inviting setting.

The evening will feature Simer Singh as keynote speaker. Singh is one of the leading figures in the modern-day Sikh Religion and an international leader of the 2018 Parliament of The World’s Religions, conducting Pre-World Parliament events in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to hearing from Simer Singh, the evening will include a personalized tour of the Sikh Gurudwara (place of worship), opportunities to meet and hear from various faith communities, turban tying, incredible music, and Lungar (a vegetarian dinner).

Please RSVP to Rishi Makkar, [email protected] or 616-956-7948, by January 19th, 2018.
