Food insecurity addressed in unique way

March 09, 2020

Original Source: FORUM

A collaborative effort among the Dean of Students Office, Center for Women and Gender Equity, and the Office of Sustainability Practices has established a new food cubby shelf on the ground level of the Mary Idema Pew Library for students experiencing food insecurity. The shelf is an extension of the larger campus food pantry, Replenish, and contains grab-and-go items and feminine hygiene products.

Donated food and other items for this cubby can be dropped off at Replenish locations (Kirkhof Center, room 074; Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, room 353); faculty and staff members can donate money to Replenish online at gvsu.edu/replenish.
