Town Hall meeting to discuss sexual assault and safety scheduled

Dear Laker Community,
Student Senate, in collaboration with the Division of Inclusion and Equity, will host a Town Hall about preventing and responses to campus sexual assault and campus safety on Tuesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room.
This is intended as a follow-up to the discussion held last fall regarding campus safety (https://www.gvsu.edu/gvnext/2016/town-hall-meeting-held-to-discuss-campus-safety-9598.htm). We invite you to join us and other campus leaders for this important discussion, provide feedback on action, and reflect on our ongoing commitment to preventing and responding to gender-based and sexual violence within our community.
At the event, university officials will provide updates regarding
campus safety, prevention and awareness efforts, and they will be
available for questions.
As part of Sexual
Assault Awareness Month, ongoing and active participation by the
entire university community, and your engagement as Lakers to
prevent violence and support each other as community members is essential.
