We would like to ensure that our members receive the greatest value for their investment through MI ACE Women’s Network. 

The Michigan ACE Women's Network has over 30 member institutions for the 2023-24 academic year

Standard Membership for Higher Education Institutions

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIPS:
• $300/yr per individual campus university/college with full time enrollment of 1-5000
• $400/yr per individual campus university/college with full time enrollment of 5001-10,000
• $500/yr per individual campus university/college with full time enrollment of above 10,000

  1. Includes up to TWO institutional representatives as designated by the President.
  2. Participation in the annual state conference at discounted membership rate
  3. Access to MI ACE Women’s Network speakers’ bureau.  Speakers will come to your campus for professional development training upon request.
  4. Opportunity to send your Institutional Representative(s) to the Fall Institutional Representative Institute.
  5. Network at the Women of Color Collaborative Fall Luncheon.
  6. Access to Network activities including public policy initiatives, senior-level job shadowing, professional development opportunities, and mentoring.
  7. Eligibility to nominate a candidate for the Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership award, a privilege offered only to presidents of ACE member institutions.
  8. Opportunity for some of the university representatives to be nominated for MI ACE Women’s Network Board position.
  9. Network Board Position.

$75 to $150 - Alliance Membership for Non-Higher Education Institutions

Small Organization - $75 for the year for an organization with less than 10 employees
Large Organization - $150 for the year for an organization with more than 11 employees

 

  1. Participation in the annual state conference at discounted membership rate.
  2. Access to MI ACE Women’s Network speakers’ bureau.  Speakers will come to your institutions/organizations for professional development training upon request.
  3. Network at the Women of Color Collaborative Fall Luncheon.
  4. Access to Network activities including public policy initiatives, senior-level job shadowing, professional development opportunities, and mentoring.
  5. Ability to set up a vender table at June conference. 

$50 - Individual Membership

  1. Participation in the annual state conference at discounted membership rate.
  2. Network at the Women of Color Collaborative Fall Luncheon.
  3. Access to Network activities including public policy initiatives, senior-level job shadowing, professional development opportunities, and mentoring.

Benefits of Membership

​​​​​​​Identifying, Developing, Advancing, and Supporting Women in Higher Education

  • Join with more than 40 other Michigan institutions that are members of the statewide group actively supporting the advancement of women in higher education. Michigan has been an active member of the ACE Network since 1978, and is one of 43 affiliates nationally.
  • Appoint a woman leader from your institution to the statewide council of Institutional Representatives, which meets twice annually. Your representative will receive a notebook containing extensive information regarding Michigan and national ACE initiatives of the Office of Women in Higher Education to help guide your campus programs and connect her with other leaders nationally.
  • Receive the new e-newsletter with information about MI-ACE Network activities at various institutions, along with opportunities for professional development and professional advancement.
  • Nominate women from your institution for the annual Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership Award.
  • Provide opportunities for professional development, leadership training, and networking for women, including participation in the annual statewide conference.
  • Promote career development, advancement, and support of women leaders, at the state, national and international levels.
  • Access the most current research and publications about women in higher education at both the state and national levels.
  • Enable women faculty and staff to remain current regarding national issues and to access expertise regarding challenges facing institutions of all types.
  • Strengthen and support women’s initiatives on campus.

MI-ACE Women's Network Membership 2023/2024

Communication between the ACE Network and its member institutions is facilitated through periodic mailings, and annual conference, a  resource-rich website, and through Institutional Representatives (IR) appointed by the president of each institution to represent its women leadership, staff, and faculty. IRs will be invited to make policy recommendations to the Network, to plan and participate in programs of the Network, and to interact professionally with other women leaders from Michigan's higher education institutions.
