Kim is the Director of Operations for Destination Consultants (DMC) in Grand Rapids where she manages the processes and promotions for the company while leading the stellar team of project managers as they plan and execute various events for a diverse client group.
Kim has 12+ years of experience planning events in Grand Rapids for GVSU and most recently as the Director of Events with Experience Grand Rapids. Her background includes project management, team management, creative solutions, promotional events, client events, conventions, and tradeshows. She is a proud “Meeting Snob” in that she loves to see meetings with a purpose and you will often hear her asking for the meeting agenda and purpose. Kim attained her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) in 2014 and graduated from Grand Valley with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meeting Planning and minor in Business in 2007.
When she isn’t working, Kim is chasing around her two toddlers and boxer (dog) while sipping a diet coke and laughing with her husband.
