American Hotel & Lodging Association Student Chapter

American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) is a discussion-based student chapter that is heavily focused on the lodging industry.  This AHLA Student Chapter is nationally recognized by the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and uses tools presented by AHLA executives to aid members in their experience.  Student memberships are suggested to student chapter members so that they can experience AHLA to its fullest and attend AHLA national conferences.

This student chapter will give you a jump-start into the lodging industry through hotel tours and discussion.  We focus on development, operations (all departments), finances, and management strategies.  Together, we will develop skills, knowledge, leadership, and communications to aid in success of our student members upon graduation of Grand Valley State University - Hospitality and Tourism Management.
