Ben Van Doren is currently the General Manager at Slows Bar BQ in the Downtown Market. Ben has been managing restaurants throughout Grand Rapids for 15 years, with multiple concepts. His love for restaurants began while working as a cook at 17 at Gibsons-Grapevine, and grew as he progressed through his career. Ben now has a passion for training and developing great teams of people in a positive, results oriented culture.
In his free time, Ben spends time with his wife and two daughters, and he trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His education began at Grand Valley State University in the field of Computer Science, and he finished his degree at Strayer University with a B.S. in Economics.
