Throughout the year, there are multiple opportunities to learn about resources at Grand Valley and in the community for issues related to work and life. More information can be found by searching on SPROUT and the Benefits and Wellness events calendar.
Previous educational topics include
- How to Retire Happy: offered twice per year, once at each campus. As you think ahead to the years of retirement, the door closes on one stage of life and a new door opens up to set of opportunities to consider. Plan your new beginning by being well informed. Attend the workshop to explore your options with regard to Social Security and Grand Valley medical plan options. Representatives from GVSU Human Resources, the Social Security Administration, and Advantage Benefit Group will be on hand to present and o answer questions. All are welcome, including partners and family members. This event is offered twice a year, once at each campus.
- Elder care : The Sandwich Generation
- Looking with Intent: Mindfully observing art: This is a 50 minute program that involves looking at art, mindfulness exercises, and a facilitated dialogue. This program is available on request to departments and teams.
