Traditional-Style Living Centers
Kistler, Copeland, & Robinson
About Traditional-Style:
Kistler, Copeland, & Robinson Living Centers are all traditional-style co-ed living centers for first-year students. These buildings provide the traditional, or "true" college experience. These Living Centers foster a sense of community and residents quickly form relationships with each other. It’s common to see room doors propped open, hear music playing, residents chatting across the hall, and hanging out or studying in the lounges. Although these buildings have community style bathrooms, we offer private shower rooms that have a toilet, shower, and sink. These buildings are located on north campus near Kleiner Commons, the tutoring center, Fresh Food Co., Fuel, and Mackinac Hall, where most freshmen have classes. You may hear about Copeland as being a part of the PiCoDePew or PPDC community which includes four Living Centers - Pickard, Copeland, DeVos, and Pew. Similarly, Robinson is often referred to as a part of ROMP - Robinson, Oak, Maple, and Pine. Due to Kistler’s size, it is its own community. Traditional-style Living Centers encourage residents to build community by connecting with their floor mates, attend programing events, and other events on campus.

All staff attend training prior to student arrival in the fall so that we can best serve our residents.
