Peer Connectors will strive to create a community of engagement and belonging within their first-year living center. This role is for first year students who will encourage peer involvement with floor programming, university organizations and events, and campus initiatives. Peer Connectors will support their peers as they transition to college, while working closely with Resident Assistant and Living Center Director staff within Housing & Residence Life.
The position is designed for a wide variety of first year, residential students who would like to participate in this program. We are recruiting students who were involved in array of activities in high school and want to instantly get connected to their floor and community, make friends and try new things!
Peer connectors will receive $500 scholarship each semester (Fall 2020 and Winter 2021), for a total of $1000. This will be applied directly to the students housing costs on their GVSU student bill.
