Ellen Adams received her Ph.D. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, in 2007. Before coming to Grand Valley, Prof. Adams taught at Miami University (Ohio), University of Richmond, and Hunter College; she also worked at the André Emmerich Gallery and Jewish Museum, both in New York. She has lectured and published on various aspects of art and culture of the twentieth century.
