Jenna Ali - Finance
Jenna is a third-year student at Grand Valley majoring in Finance.
She is currently on track to graduate in August of 2020 with her
Bachelor's degree. She chose Finance as a major because she is
passionate about helping others feel secure in their financial
situations as well as investing in her own future.
Jenna is a full-time student who takes between sixteen to eighteen
credits a semester. With the limited free time that she has, she likes
to be involved in different activities within her community. She is
currently a Financial Advising Intern at New York Life as well as an
active member of the Investments Portfolio Organization through Grand
Valley. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the business honors
society at Seidman College of Business.
After graduation, Jenna hopes to secure a job working in the finance
department at a corporate level or in a personal financial advising
office. She hopes to expand her opportunities by getting her Masters
degree in finance but wants to take time to work and travel for a year
before pursuing that goal. She looks forward to the different
opportunities that the Cook Leadership Academy provides for leadership
building and networking. She hopes that the diversity within the
program will give her the opportunity to learn more about other
cultures and that the skills she learns will have an impact for the
rest of her career.
