Maddie Stembol
Madelyn Stembol joined the Cook P. Leadership Academy in 2023, and is
excited to be returning for a second year. A Senior at Grand Valley
State University, Madelyn is studying Political Science with a minor
in Anthropology. Currently, Madelyn is a member of the Frederick
Meijer Honors College, The Honors Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and The
Political Science Honors Society of Pi Sigma Alpha.
Madelyn is a student worker in the Department of Modern Languages
and Literatures, and through her position is able to help facilitate
others to become more familiar with different cultures through
language. Exploring and learning about new cultures is one of Madelyns
most important values, which was augmented by her internship in
Washington DC during the Winter of 2024 with the William J. Perry
Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, as well as her study abroad
program this summer in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Outside of work and school, Madelyn enjoys playing her violin,
attending and acting in community theater productions, spending time
outside, and traveling to new places both near and far. After
completing her bachelors, Madelyns current plans are to pursue a
masters in International Development.
